Wind in my coat tails

Today, I spent way too many hours trying to fight my way past the chores, the bustle to sew aprons for the store, deal with the neighbors and the landlord (everyone is having problems with rent this month), so that I could get out into that wonderful stuff - that sun. And, of course, I needed my other favorite daily stimulant - and excellent cup of coffee.

Rain, and storms and windy gusts are followed by the most brilliant of blue skies and the fluffiest of skyward clouds. I could melt into the vividness of that hue of blue, couldn't you?

Who would not adore having that happy face look up at you whenever you go out for a walk? To see him there just breaks my heart a little - he is just so happy to be outdoors with me...

I found this video on a site a trendy friend sent me to today, here, and this was on it some days ago - and I thought - oh, I need to share that too...

This is the beauty that I am privy to

I can ride my bike, when the blue invades the skies and the clouds push past the rain, and see this....Have you ever heard during your metaphysical wanderings - As above, so Below? This is what comes to my mind when I see this bit of heaven on Earth. We sometimes are what we make of life - or not, however we choose. We can't always create the beauty we see outside of us (but as artists within we are all certainly trying!), but we can harvest the beauty within. One day, our interior life will meet and greet the sumptuous beauty mirrored beyond ourselves. Never give up. Hold fast to your beauty. I am ever hopeful, but I feel there is good reason to be.

What I did today

I made cards from the photos that I take on the regular for my blogs (two) and put them in the space I have at my friend's shop, here, in the hopes that maybe someone will like the idea that while the photos are "fresh", the cards are recycled.
I made some homemade banana bread using my Grandmother's /Mom's favorite recipe, ate some and then pedaled off to give slices to some pals and half a loaf to me Mum. I gave away 7 big, chunky slices - and I still have to make sure I let my leftovers get stretched out over a couple days feasting. I shouldn't bake really, my bum likes it too much.
I took pictures around my fair town - this is my favorite pic of the day. I love green - anything. Next, I love vintage. Double love - right here.
I have my head still in the clouds. I need to find work, I don't know what I want to do, and I don't want to think about it. Where is my thunderbolt of miraculous understanding - the one that sets my universe to financially stable rights AND rocks? ahhh, please come, my little bolt of inspiration - or $5,000 - either one, soon....
